We thank God for the creativity of his people. As we Bless Our Communities and seek to Bring People to Jesus, God’s people find creative ways to start new churches.

The Church of the Nazarene in North America seeks to have ALL KINDS of churches with ALL KINDS of people in ALL KINDS of places.

What is the definition of a church? Any group that meets regularly for spiritual nurture, worship, or instruction, with an identified leader and aligned with the message and mission of the Church of the Nazarene may be recognized as a church and reported as such for District and general church statistics.

On September 13, it was my privilege to lead an organizational service for Tulsa Ecclesia Church and Pastor Josh Duell. This church, started with a house church model 2 ½ years ago out of Tulsa Audacity, is aspiring to launch new church units as it seeks to fulfill the Great Commission.

On September 16, I attended the first service of Carney Jubilee Church, a new start growing out of a school presence and after school ministry in Carney. Pastor Kristen Donovan, a proven leader in this type of ministry, is our pastor.

We also are exploring a restart of a prevailing model church in Grove with Pastor Phil Buck.

Let’s pray for these churches and pray for us to continue to start ALL KINDS of churches with ALL KINDS of people in ALL KINDS of places!
