NEO TEAM UPDATE
Wow! What a month this has been. For Christy and myself, the past 27 days can be best described as a roller coaster in pretty much every sense of the word. During this time, we’ve been privileged to attend missions services, kids camp, churches… and have lots of very exciting interactions with the great people of Northeast Oklahoma that we’ve known for a number of years. Thank you for your warm welcome as we begin the adventure of this new assignment. It is so very clear that God is stirring in the hearts of His people. We want to take this opportunity to thank Dave and Gloria McKellips for their gracious support as we make this transition. This is a gift that goes beyond our ability to describe.
This fast on-ramp has also ushered us into an unexpected journey that some of you know all too well. On Monday, July 27, the doctors informed me of a mass that has been growing. This past week provided twists and turns that we are trying to wrap our heads and hearts around. We will have more definitive information in the coming days. Yet, even at this point, God has been so very faithful to bring His peace that truly goes beyond human comprehension. Thank you for your supportive words and continued prayers.
I’m blessed to be able to serve in my responsibilities and will keep the district leaders and pastors updated as this journey continues. I also want to know how I can be praying for you as well. A phrase we can all say is, “We’re in this together!” We can’t imagine making this journey anywhere else with anyone else!

We will start the day at 9:00 a.m. with a keynote featuring Dr. David Busic and proceed with breakout sessions thereafter. With a wide range of sessions from missions to youth to children to discipleship ministry topics, there will be something for everyone in your congregation.

RJ Droese and the NYI leadership team combined with 117 sponsors and students for a life-changing experience at Nazarene Youth Conference in Salt Lake City, UT. Thank you for praying! Congratulations to Nick Williams on his re-election as NYI President at last week’s NYI Convention. He, and his team, are providing outstanding leadership. God is on the move!

Are you ready to discover God’s unique call on your life?
Ignite the Cause is a trans formative experience for young adults (ages 18-28) who want to become global Christians and participate in God’s mission in the world. Whether you’re exploring missions for the first time or seeking clarity on your next steps, this event is designed to help you answer three essential questions:
· What does God’s Word say?
· What is God doing in the world?
· What is he asking me to do?
Over four days, you’ll engage in inspiring worship, hear from dynamic speakers, choose from practical workshops, and connect with other young adults who share your passion for God’s Kingdom. You’ll explore missions in the Church of the Nazarene, hear compelling stories from around the globe, and discover how God has uniquely equipped you for his purposes.
Through mentorship, discernment opportunities, and hands-on service in partnership with the local church, you’ll leave with greater clarity about your calling and tangible next steps—whether that’s local ministry, cross-cultural service, or global mission.

As you plan to attend General Assembly & Conventions next year, consider participating in Love Your Neighbor, a missions service opportunity that allows you to actively serve communities while we gather as a global family. The week before General Assembly, 20-27 June 2027, you will have the opportunity to serve locally in Kansas City, or globally from where you are in a number of ways, including church planting, construction, Vacation Bible School (VBS) and sports camps. Love Your Neighbor is an excellent way to participate in a mission trip while also experiencing General Assembly & Conventions! You can participate as an individual, a family or with a group from your church or district. Start planning now to be a part of Love Your Neighbor! Pre-registration is open now!
