Pastor Tim and Sharon Odom

Pastor Tim is retiring after 20 years at Collinsville Church of the Nazarene. The church is alive and growing. An amazing part of Pastor Tim’s tenure is that their three other pastoral staff members have all served at least 15 years with Pastor Tim at Collinsville. The Church is hosting a retirement reception for Tim and Sharon on Saturday, April 27, 2:00 – 4:00 pm at their facilities, 1118 W Broadway.

 

David and Lisa Frisbie

Due to health limitations following a heart attack, David Frisbie retired after one year at Miami New Life. David and Lisa have previously served NEO as Pastoral Staff at Family Church (now Core Church). Of course, David and Lisa have served NEO and the global church as Directors of Marriage and Family Ministry for many years.

 

 

 

Additional Assembly Information:

• Lodging. For those who would like to stay within 15 miles of our meetings in Sapulpa, we have reserved a few King rooms at the Fairfield Inn and Suites on 91^st and Hwy. 169 for $84. If you want a room, contact the District Office asap.
• Meals. No one has to eat on site, but to make it more convenient for you to eat without rushing to find a restaurant and rushing back, we have some options on site. Please order as a church, reserving and paying for the meals before June 3.
• Assembly Handbooks. We have been moving more and more online the last few years. This year the Advisory Board voted to only provide the Handbook online. If you want to purchase a hard copy, contact your church leadership.
• Nursery. Nursery for age 3 and younger will be provided throughout NMI Convention and Assembly at Sapulpa.
• Prime Time Gathering Friday at Lunch. Our District Prime Time Council and Director Kendall Moseley are inviting every church to send a person or couple who will be contact people in the local church for Prime Time Ministry on the District. In fact, they will buy lunch for the contact people! Contact your church leadership if you want to be that person so it can be included on the church’s meal order form.

June 2-5^th, 2024, South Nazarene University

The Equip Experience is a 3-day residential conference hosted on the SNU campus intended to equip students as they explore and answer the Call of God to embrace the “live last” posture of Jesus in the world. Registration is open to students who will complete their sophomore, junior, or senior year in May 2024. Meals, snacks, lodging, t-shirts, and training costs are all included. Check-in on Sunday afternoon and head out on Wednesday at lunch. WHAT AN IMPACTFUL MEN’S EVENT!!!

Close to 300 Men gathered at Core Church on April 19th to enjoy a meal, games and to be challenged to “Quit Playing with Lions”.
